Fronius MagicWave 2500 TIG AC/DC
-
220 A at 17.4 kg, and robust
-
Cold wire control and automated use
-
Welds low-alloy and high-alloy steels, aluminium and non-ferrous metals
-
CSA certified
The MagicWave 2500 is a fully digitally controlled TIG-AC/DC power source with Active Wave technology and is distinguished by an almost soundless yet highly stable arc. With an output of 250A it is both lightweight and robust, as well as being self-explanatory in its mode of operation. The power source is ideal for mobile use in chemical, container, machine and plant engineering, in fitting and installation companies, metal construction, maintenance and repair as well as pipeline construction.
At 26.6 kg the MagicWave 2500 is one of the lightest TIG power sources with a 3-phase power supply and can be taken anywhere. Its robust construction makes it absolutely compatible for the construction site. It can be used to weld all low- and high-alloyed steels, aluminium and its alloys, as well as non-ferrous metals.

Overview
-
Automatic gas post-flow time (welding current-dependent)
The ideal post-flow time is calculated automatically so that electrode and weld pool do not oxidise -
Automatic tungsten balling
Brings enormous time savings - simply clamp the sharpened electrode, pre-select cap diameter, the arc automatically forms the correct cap size -
Digital welding process control
For one-off precision in the welding process, exact reproducibility and outstanding weld properties -
Generator-compatible
for mobile use, including construction sites -
Non-contact ignition (HF)
For perfect arc ignition with high-voltage pulse, even for very long hosepacks -
Reversed polarity ignition
Improves the ignition of the TIG direct current arc -
Touchdown ignition
For ignition with no high-voltage pulses in sensitive applications
